LMI donated its logistical talent to the 2014 Dulles Plane Pull to help alleviate the traffic tie ups that plagued this family fundraiser last year. By creating a simple, practical solution, LMI was able to help Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) create a new traffic flow and parking plan that allowed for thousands of one-day event goers to enjoy the event and ensure everyday Dulles airport operations were minimally impacted.

LMI studied the 2013 Plane Pull event, collected data, and analyzed alternatives. They created a traffic management and parking plan which included, electronic message boards; re-routing surrounding traffic; and new dedicated routes and entrances separating the event and airport traffic.

In 2014 with LMI on hand to execute the new plan, the plane pull event was a success and hosted approximately 15,500 attendees, a new record. Best of all the new traffic flow and parking plan eliminated delays and there were no reports of missed flights as a result of the plane pull event.

Great Job LMI!
