Join the Fairfax Library Foundation at Barnes & Noble in Fair Lakes Promenade! There will be activities, storytimes, and complimentary gift wrapping throughout the day.

10% of your purchases will be donated to support the programs and services of the Fairfax County Public Library. Can't make the event? Make a purchase online using code 12388724 from December 15 through the 20th.

CHARMED BY CHARITY shopping event at Alex and Ani Saturday, December 8, from 12:00 – 3:00pm, at the Alex and Ani store in Fairfax! Alex and Ani will donate 15% of gross sales during the event to the MCCP Foundation.

Magic Toyshop Puppet Show Assistant Needed

Santa's Helpers needed to help set up and  run the magical winter light show at the Campground at Lake Fairfax Park.  Activities will include wagon rides running every 20 minutes through the festive holiday lights, hot chocolate and s'more by the fire afterward.


The UCM Holiday Gift Room provides gifts to more than 1,000 children. UCM client parents can browse and select gifts for their children. up to age 14. Shop or donate online


by donating to kids, giving a winter coat or just providing a donation for those in need.



FACETS responds to the diverse needs of people impacted by poverty in Fairfax County. Help them share the holiday spirit by donating gifts for children and adults this holiday season.

Adults and Aging Division of Fairfax County needs donations for older adults and clients with disabilities. Home Improvement gift cards, pet supplies and in kind donations are especially welcome.


Adopt a Family from the Fairfax County Department of Family Services. Support a family through the holidays

  • Buy holiday gifts for a family (toys, clothing, food).
  • Provide monetary donations.
  • Prepare entrees and baked goods for holiday parties.
  • Donate gift cards for food, clothing and gasoline.
  • Donate tickets for movies, bowling or other activities.
