Awards Ceremony with FCPS

You are invited to the 2011 Celebrate Partnership Awards Ceremony! OP3 and Fairfax County Public Schools Office of Business and Community Partnerships are hosting a joint awards ceremony to honor local businesses and community groups for their contribution in the County. Business Partner of the Year, Community Partner of the Year, and Small/Large Business Champion are a few of the many awards that will be given. Please confirm your attendance by completing the registration form. We hope to see you Monday, May 23 from 3:30-5:30pm at the Mason Inn.

Law Enforcement Foundation (LEF)
The Fairfax County Law Enforcement Foundation was established in 2005 by three forward thinking police officers. The mission of the Fairfax County Law Enforcement Foundation (FCLEF) is to strengthen and promote public safety by funding, coordinating and supporting a variety of educational activities that provide professional development for police officers and public safety personnel. Joey Pizzano Memorial Companies That Care Resources & Training
JPMF is primarily focused on helping children with special needs through water safety programs, an issue that is close to the organization's founders, Paola and Bob Pizzano. By donating to JPMF you can provide water safety training for children with special needs and help JPMF build Our Special Harbor Playground which opens May 21, 2011 at 3:00pm in Lee District Park. The fully accessible water park is designed for children of all abilities and their families to enjoy the water.
Cox Communications Northern Virginia focuses their community giving on youth, education, and technology. Cox provided major support and guidance for the Broadband CNCT (Computers and Neighbors Coming Together) partnership. Cox gives generously in Fairfax County through grants, charitable donations, and by raising community awareness on their Local Edition cable program. Find out more about ways Cox cares for

May 20, 2011: Assessing your Board's Performance - Create a plan to better assess your board and improve board performance. Successful nonprofit boards periodically review their own performance and create an on-going open dialogue for continuous governance improvement. The focus of this interactive seminar will be to review samples of full board assessment tools and many other ways to create positive feedback loops on board performance.
