There are many ways for individual and organizations to give and get involved in Fairfax County and resources to help you find opportunities that fit your interest, location, and schedule. Check out the sites below and if you have questions or need further assistance, contact the staff in one of these offices who will be glad to assist.
IF YOU'D LIKE TO VOLUNTEER OTHER WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Support Fairfax County Programs and services like Parks, Libraries, Youth and Families, or Older Adults.  Try the Volunteer Management System (VMS), a searchable database with acesss to more than 2,500 opportunities.

Partner with Fairfax County through the Office of Public Private Partnerships (OP3). They can match your interest with County priorities in areas such as the Environment; Workforce Readiness; Children and Youth; Older Adults and those with Disabilities; Ending Homelessness.

Visit Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). Whether you have school-aged children or not, FCPS welcomes community support for students as mentors, classroom aides, helping with special events and extra-curricular activities.

Partner with Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) through the Office of Business and Community Partnerships. They develop, promote, and coordinate partnerships between business and community groups and the FCPS. They offer Ignite Partners a clear value proposition as a means of ensuring return on investment.

Check out Volunteer Fairfax for one time or ongoing opportunities, group and family activities, retirees and youth activities, or projects for corporate employee teams, or to learn about serving on nonprofit and community boards.

Another way to get involved is to engage FCPS students in Service Learning opportunities.

Leadership Fairfax trains successful leaders to use their skills and influence to improve our community. Programs for Emerging Leaders (ELI); current leaders from all sectors LFI; and those approaching retirement or career transition, Lifetime Leaders Program LLP educate, inform, and engage participants to strengthen our community and region.

Donate financially or in-kind to County, school, or to the Foundations that support community needs.
